EPDK Publishes 2027 Transmission Surcharge Rate in the Official Gazette
EPDK set the 2027 transmission surcharge at 0.7% of TEİAŞ's tariff; the new regulation takes effect on 1 January 2027.
The Energy Market Regulatory Board's Decision No. 14864 dated 10 September 2026 was published in the Official Gazette on 16 September 2026.
Under the decision, the transmission surcharge to apply in 2027 was set at 0.7% (seven per thousand) of the transmission tariff of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEİAŞ).
Transmission surcharges will be calculated monthly by TEİAŞ and paid into EMRA's account by the 25th of each month. The regulation will enter into force on 1 January 2027.
The transmission surcharge is a regulatory charge set under the relevant legislation and collected from transmission system users to cover the investment, operating and maintenance costs of TEİAŞ's national electricity transmission system.
